IC Series - Blue Light Only

Troubleshooting:

If under these conditions:

  • Charger connected to batteries
  • Charger connected to AC

The charger only illuminates the circular blue light then check:

  1. Batteries have sufficient charge.  For lead-acid, minimum of 3.0V needed on a 24V pack, 4.5V on a 36V pack, or 6.0V on a 48V pack.  Lithium may vary depending on the algorithm. Use another charger, such as a 12V automotive charger, to to up the battery pack until it is above the minimum.
  2. If batteries were recently changed, check wiring between charger terminal and the battery terminals.  This should be checked from the charger terminals under the black DC output cover.

Detail: The charger is in a "waiting to start charge" state, where it has enough AC power to turn on but does not detect enough battery voltage to start charging.  By default the chargers do not enter an error state in this stage.
