Are your chargers water and dust proof? What is an IP Rating?

All Delta-Q chargers as of this writing are rated IP66. This is fully dust proof and resistant to heavy water jets. Is similar to NEMA 4, but the chargers are not rated to NEMA standards.

 

The IP (Ingress Protection) rating is an international standard for measuring a device's levels of protection against dust and water. The first digit in the two-digit IP code indicates the level of protection against solid objects, including dust. The second digit indicates to what degree the device is protected from water.

 

Resistance to solid objects and dust

 

IP0X. No special protection.

IP1X. Protected against solid objects > 50 mm in diameter.
